The OLLIS Foundry Pan is a versatile cast iron pan that combines a Skillet and a Dutch oven into one beautiful pan. The shallow lid functions as a skillet on its own, but when combined with the deep base, serves as a large versatile Dutch Oven for braising, stewing, baking, deep frying and more.

This seasoned version arrives pre-seasoned giving it a natural non-stick surface and is ready to use. A timeless workhorse that's ideal for searing, frying, and baking or anything you want to throw at it. It’s durable and suited for use on all heat sources, including; gas, electric, induction, grills, and even open fires.

CARE & Cleaning

We've made The Foundry Pan simple to look after, here's some useful tips -

Dishwasher Safe -
Our Enamelled Pans are dishwasher safe, but we recommend showing some extra love & cleaning by hand. This will keep it looking better for longer.

Cleaning After Use -

  • Let it cool completely before washing
  • Wash with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge.
  • Avoid metal scouring pads, which can scratch the enamel.
  • Dry thoroughly, especially any exposed edges.

Stain Removal -

  • Fill with warm water and add a couple tablespoons of baking soda.
  • Simmer gently for a few minutes.
  • Empty and wash as usual.

PRE-SEASONED OR ENAMELLED? - WHICH TO CHOOSE

Both offer exceptional durability and heat retention, & both contain zero harmful forever chemicals but they do have distinct differences that might influence your decision.

Seasoned Version -
Treated with a natural oil to build a layer of 'seasoning'. This layer of oil or seasoning bonds with the iron, creating a naturally non-stick surface. Some benefits of seasoned cast iron include:

  • It retains and distributes heat exceptionally well, perfect for slow cooking and searing.
  • As the seasoning builds, so does the non-stick surface, meaning it gets better with use.
  • Seasoned cast iron is perfect for high-heat cooking and can even be used directly to open fires/BBQ's
  • If the pre-seasoning ever wears, it can easily be re-seasoned using oil & a home oven.

Enamelled Version:
Coated with a glassy enamel layer that makes it non-reactive and easy to clean. This coating adds a smooth, glossy finish to the cast iron, giving it an attractive, colourful look. Some key benefits include:

  • The enamel protects the iron, so you don't need to ever re-season it yourself.
  • This version can go in the dishwasher (although we recommend washing by hand, which is also super easy).
  • You can leave acidic foods like tomatoes in the pan for longer, without worrying about it effecting the seasoning.
  • Choose a colour that fits your style.
